If I didn’t ski
I
would be thinking about the past, contemplating the future, and missing the one
thing in this world that allows me to live in the moment.
If I feel like dancing
I
listen to pop music from any and every decade(or go to a U.S Freeskiing event
party)
When I was young
I
loved soccer and “The Sound of Music”
Masochism for the love of my sport
hit
an all time high the time I frostbit my toes near the point of amputation to
stay out until sunset to get some shots.
One season
I
skied on a fractured tibial plateau thinking that I had really bad boot bang.
If I feel like laughing
I
talk to my sister or watch “The Office.”
Where I grew up
people
like big trucks and hunting.
My family
is
the best thing that ever happened to me.
When I am skiing
I
like to point it on my Prophet 130’s, hit cliffs, and wear earrings.
A few hours after
my
last final at Berkeley, I packed up my things and drove out to Utah for the
winter.
To make money
to
ski, bike, travel, surf, love life, I have bartended, painted houses, nannied,
and worked my fair share of hours in a restaurant.
The only time
I
have had stitches is when I visited a friend in the hospital and ended up
fainting in the hall.
I admire
anyone
who has the pride and courage to live a life that will make themselves and
others happy.
